A Dream Realized on the Island of Samos

In 1994, I made the journey from the Netherlands to the beautiful island of Samos. (Yes, that was 31 years ago now...) Working in the tourism industry, I met my wife, and together we traveled extensively, experiencing all that this remarkable island had to offer.

After nine years of adventures and discoveries, by 2003, I felt a familiar stirring – an entrepreneurial itch that had been growing stronger. An idea that had been percolating in my mind for years finally began to take concrete shape: starting my own car rental business on Samos.

The concept was straightforward yet innovative for its time. I wanted to focus operations around the airport and make bookings available through the internet – something that was still quite revolutionary for local businesses in those days. This vision would eventually become the foundation of what travelers know today as Yes Rent a Car Samos.

The journey from that initial spark of an idea to building a trusted local business has been filled with challenges, growth, and countless memorable encounters with visitors from around the world.
